The Railway Recruitment Boards have revised the tentative schedule of the first stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) for CEN 04/2026, which covers posts of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant. In a notice dated 2 October 2026, following an earlier notice of 16 September, CBT-1 is now scheduled for 27 and 28 October 2026.

The exam city and date link, along with the travel authority for SC/ST candidates, will go live about 10 days before the exam on the official RRB websites. E-call letters (admit cards) can be downloaded about 4 days before the exam date shown in the city intimation.

Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done at the centre before entry, so candidates should bring their original Aadhaar card or a printout of the e-verified Aadhaar, keep their Aadhaar unlocked in the UIDAI system, and make sure it shows their correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10), a recent photograph and updated biometrics.
