Overview
The Staff Selection Commission has published the tentative vacancies for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electrical & Mechanical) Examination 2026. The total is 1,699: SC 245, ST 140, OBC 462, EWS 134 and UR 718, with 32 for OH, 14 for HH, 1 for VH and 13 for other PwBD candidates.
The largest shares are India Meteorological Department Scientific Assistant (462), CPWD JE Civil (343) and JE Electrical (103), Border Roads Organisation JE Civil (271, male candidates only) and JE E&M (22), Military Engineer Services JE Civil (154) and JE E&M (161), Department of Telecommunications JE (69) and Brahmaputra Board JE Civil (56).
