India–France Space Cooperation to Focus on Human Spaceflight and Start-ups

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh met a French delegation led by Prof. Philippe Baptiste, France's Minister for Higher Education, Research and Space, in New Delhi. He said India–France space ties, which began with sounding rocket experiments in the 1960s, have grown into a partnership covering joint satellite missions, launch vehicle technology, human spaceflight and new space applications, and should now bring in research institutions, industry and start-ups. The talks covered the Space Summit, the India–France Year of Innovation 2026, and cooperation in space, the Indo-French research centre CEFIPRA and the blue economy. For exams: 2026 is the India–France Year of Innovation, and CEFIPRA is the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research.

केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने नई दिल्ली में फ्रांस के उच्च शिक्षा, अनुसंधान और अंतरिक्ष मंत्री प्रो. फिलिप बैप्टिस्ट के नेतृत्व वाले प्रतिनिधिमंडल से मुलाकात की। उन्होंने कहा कि 1960 के दशक में साउंडिंग रॉकेट प्रयोगों से शुरू हुआ भारत–फ्रांस अंतरिक्ष सहयोग अब संयुक्त उपग्रह मिशन, प्रक्षेपण यान तकनीक, मानव अंतरिक्ष उड़ान और नए अंतरिक्ष अनुप्रयोगों तक फैल चुका है, और अब इसमें शोध संस्थानों, उद्योग और स्टार्ट-अप को भी जोड़ा जाना चाहिए। बैठक में स्पेस समिट, भारत–फ्रांस नवाचार वर्ष 2026, तथा अंतरिक्ष, CEFIPRA और ब्लू इकॉनमी में सहयोग पर चर्चा हुई। परीक्षा के लिए: 2026 भारत–फ्रांस नवाचार वर्ष है और CEFIPRA भारत-फ्रांस उन्नत अनुसंधान संवर्धन केंद्र है।
