CAQM Approves Revised GRAP Schedule for Delhi-NCR

The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM), at its 30th full Commission meeting chaired by Rajesh Verma, approved a revised Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for the National Capital Region. Curbs on diesel generator sets and on the entry of BS-IV and older buses have been moved from Stage II to Stage I. Restrictions on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers now extend to Sonipat, and the exemption for older goods vehicles carrying essential commodities in Stages III and IV has been removed. The revised schedule has 25 actions in Stage I, 8 in Stage II, 10 in Stage III and 5 in Stage IV. For exams: GRAP has four stages, linked to AQI levels from 'Poor' to 'Severe+'.
