WPI Inflation Climbs to 11.39% in September 2026

All India Wholesale Price Index (base 2022-23) inflation rose to 11.39% in September 2026 from 9.92% in August, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said. Fuel and power inflation was 25.85%, primary articles 8.67% and manufactured products 9.76%. The WPI food index rose 8.66%. Mineral oils, food articles, crude petroleum and natural gas, and coal were the main drivers. For exams: WPI is released by the Office of the Economic Adviser, DPIIT; its new base year is 2022-23.
