NTA RMS CET 2026 Online Form for Class 6 and 9 Admission

The National Testing Agency is conducting the Rashtriya Military School Common Entrance Test (RMS CET) 2026 for admission to Class VI and Class IX in Rashtriya Military Schools for the academic year 2027-28. Online applications opened on 23 September 2026 and close at 05:00 PM on 20 October 2026. A late window with an extra fee of Rs. 500 runs from 21 to 25 October 2026. The examination will be held on Sunday, 13 December 2026.

Rashtriya Military Schools are English medium residential schools run by the Ministry of Defence for classes VI to XII, and are founding members of the Indian Public Schools' Conference. There are five of them: Chail in Himachal Pradesh, Ajmer and Dholpur in Rajasthan, and Belgaum and Bengaluru in Karnataka.

For Class VI a candidate must be 10 to 13 years old as on 31 March 2027, which means born between 01 April 2014 and 31 March 2017. For Class IX the band is 13 to 16 years, born between 01 April 2011 and 31 March 2014. Wards of Armed Forces personnel Killed in Action get six months of relaxation in the upper age limit. The test is a pen and paper (OMR) examination of multiple choice questions, held in 63 cities.
