Punjab District Courts Clerk Recruitment 2026 for 1,270 PostsLast Date 4 Nov

The Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (SSSC), under the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, has issued Detailed Employment Notice No. 37C/SSSC/PB/2026 dated 3 October 2026 for 1,270 Clerk posts in the District Courts of Punjab, on behalf of the District and Sessions Judges of the state. Online applications open at 4:00 PM on 7 October 2026 and close at 4:00 PM on 4 November 2026 at sssc.gov.in.

Applicants need a BA or BSc degree or equivalent from a recognised university, must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as a subject, and must be proficient in operating computers, all by the closing date. The age limit is 18 to 37 years as on 1 January 2026, relaxed by 5 years for SC and BC/OBC of Punjab and 10 years for PwBD of Punjab, with an upper limit of 45 for serving government employees. Reservation, age relaxation and fee concessions apply only to residents of Punjab.

The post carries a pay scale of Rs. 29,200 (Level 5) for graduates, as per the Punjab Government's pay scales for fresh recruits. The total fee is Rs. 1,200 for general candidates, Rs. 710 for SC, BC/OBC, ex-servicemen and EWS of Punjab, and Rs. 875 for PwBD of Punjab. Selection is through an online examination, with e-admit cards and a mock test link published on the SSSC website before the exam.
