The Railway Recruitment Boards have notified 590 vacancies in Paramedical categories under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 05/2026. Nursing Superintendent has the most vacancies at 365, at Pay Level 7 with an initial pay of Rs. 44,900 and an age band of 20 to 40 years. Pharmacist (Entry Grade) has 118 posts at Level 5, Health and Malaria Inspector Grade II has 43 at Level 6, Lab Assistant Grade II has 31 at Level 3 and Radiographer X-Ray Technician has 25 at Level 5. The remaining posts are ECG Technician (4), Optometrist (2), Dialysis Technician (1) and Audiologist and Speech Therapist (1). Age is counted as on 01 January 2027 and each post has its own band, given in the table below the dates.
Selection is through a single Computer Based Test of 100 questions in 90 minutes, with one third of a mark deducted for each wrong answer, followed by document verification and medical examination. A candidate may apply to only one RRB. Applying to more than one RRB, or more than once, leads to the rejection of all applications.

Selection process
