RRC North Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2026-27 for 11 PostsLast Date 6 Nov

The Railway Recruitment Cell, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur has issued Employment Notice No. NER/RRC/SG/2026-27 dated 6 October 2026 for recruitment against the Scouts & Guides quota for 2026-27. There are 3 Group C posts in Level-2 (Grade Pay 1900), 2 in NER headquarters and 1 in BLW Varanasi, and 8 erstwhile Group D posts in Level-1 (Grade Pay 1800), 2 each in BLW Varanasi and the Izzatnagar, Lucknow and Varanasi divisions. No posts are reserved for any community.

Candidates must be President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge holders, have been active members of a Scouts organisation for the last five years (certificate in Annexure-A format), and have attended two national or All India Railway events and two state-level events. A candidate can apply for both levels but must submit separate applications and fees.

Applications open at 11:00 AM on 7 October and close at 6:00 PM on 6 November 2026. Selection is out of 100: a 60-mark CBT (40 objective questions plus one 20-mark essay on scouting and general knowledge, with 1/3 negative marking on objective questions and 40% to qualify) and 40 marks for scouting certificates. Candidates five times the number of vacancies will be called for document verification.
