UPESSC Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026 for 12,405 Posts (Advt 05/2026)Last Date 15 Oct

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, has released Advertisement No. 05/2026 for 12,405 Assistant Teacher posts. These are 11,508 posts in primary schools of urban areas under the UP Basic Shiksha Parishad, and 897 posts of Assistant Teacher in aided junior basic (primary) schools: 473 in boys' schools and 424 in girls' schools. The advertisement was published on 15 September 2026, and online registration and applications opened on 16 September.

The last date to pay the application fee is 15 October 2026, corrections to the application can be made until 19 October 2026, and the written examination is scheduled for 3 and 4 December 2026. The fee is Rs. 1,000 for general, OBC and EWS candidates, Rs. 500 for SC and ST, and Rs. 300 for candidates with disabilities. For urban primary Assistant Teacher posts, the minimum age is 21 and the maximum 40 years as on 1 July 2026.

Applications are only online through the OTR-based system on the UPESSC website. Candidates must fill in their preference for the two types of schools, and it cannot be changed after the last date. If more than one application is submitted, only the last one counts.
