UPSC Advt No. 12/2026 Online Form for 13 Posts

The Union Public Service Commission has invited online recruitment applications for 13 vacancies across four posts under Advertisement No. 12/2026. Applications opened on 26 September 2026 on upsconline.nic.in and close at 18:00 hours on 16 October 2026. The closing date is also the crucial date for deciding every eligibility condition.

The largest block is 8 posts of Assistant Legislative Counsel (Grade IV of the Indian Legal Service) in the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice, at Level 11 of the pay matrix. It asks for a law degree together with seven years in a State Judicial Service, a State legal department or Central Government legal work, or a Master's in Law with five years of teaching or research, or standing as a legal practitioner of at least 30 years of age. The advertisement also has 3 posts of Law Officer in the Land and Building Department, Government of NCT of Delhi (Level 7, law degree plus two years of legal experience), one post of Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology) at the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur (Level 10), and one post of Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) in Cardiology at the New Delhi Municipal Council (Level 11 plus NPA).

The fee is only Rs. 25, and female, SC, ST and PwBD candidates pay nothing. Since UPSC recruits these posts by selection, it may shortlist applicants on the basis of qualifications and experience, or hold a recruitment test, before calling candidates for interview.
