UPSC Engineering Services (ESE) 2027 Online Form: About 480 Vacancies

The Union Public Service Commission notified the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2027 through Examination Notice No. 02/2027-ENGG. dated 16 September 2026. Online applications are open at upsconline.nic.in until 6:00 PM on 6 October 2026. The Preliminary (Stage-I) exam is on 31 January 2027 and the Main (Stage-II) exam on 18 June 2027.

About 480 vacancies are expected, including 19 for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, across four categories: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The number of vacancies can change.

Candidates must be 21 to 30 years old on 1 January 2027 (born between 2 January 1997 and 1 January 2006) and hold an engineering degree or an equivalent qualification. The fee is Rs. 200, waived for women, SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
