DGCA Issues Training Framework for Gyroplane Pilot Licences

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a new Civil Aviation Requirement (CAR Section 7, Series B, Part XXI) prescribing the ground and flying training syllabus for a pilot licence in the gyroplane category. Gyroplanes use a freely rotating rotor to generate lift, while a propeller provides forward thrust. They suit joyrides, air experience flights and aerial work such as agricultural spraying, banner towing, surveillance and surveys. DGCA called it a first step towards introducing gyroplanes in India, to be followed by training organisations and manufacturing capability. For exams: DGCA is India's civil aviation regulator, under the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

नागर विमानन महानिदेशालय (DGCA) ने एक नई नागर विमानन आवश्यकता (CAR सेक्शन 7, सीरीज़ B, पार्ट XXI) जारी की है, जिसमें जाइरोप्लेन श्रेणी में पायलट लाइसेंस के लिए ग्राउंड और उड़ान प्रशिक्षण का पाठ्यक्रम निर्धारित किया गया है। जाइरोप्लेन में लिफ्ट के लिए स्वतंत्र रूप से घूमने वाला रोटर होता है, जबकि आगे बढ़ने का बल प्रोपेलर देता है। ये जॉयराइड, हवाई अनुभव उड़ानों और कृषि छिड़काव, बैनर टोइंग, निगरानी तथा सर्वेक्षण जैसे हवाई कार्यों के लिए उपयुक्त हैं। DGCA ने इसे भारत में जाइरोप्लेन लाने की दिशा में पहला कदम बताया, जिसके बाद प्रशिक्षण संगठन और विनिर्माण क्षमता विकसित की जाएगी। परीक्षा के लिए: DGCA नागर विमानन मंत्रालय के अधीन भारत का नागर विमानन नियामक है।
