PM Modi Interacts with GSMA Board Members Ahead of India Mobile Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Board members of the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) at Seva Teerth ahead of the India Mobile Congress. GSMA is a global organisation that represents mobile operators and organisations across the mobile ecosystem. The Prime Minister said technology must become a tool for inclusive and sustainable development and stressed making digital services affordable and accessible, particularly for the Global South. He highlighted Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) as a springboard for developing countries, called for technology-driven solutions and sustained user awareness to tackle cyber fraud, and suggested mechanisms that let users immediately identify the origin of deepfakes and AI-generated content. GSMA Board members highlighted opportunities for cooperation with India in 5G, 6G, AI, cybersecurity and satellite connectivity. Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia attended the meeting. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस से पहले सेवा तीर्थ में ग्लोबल सिस्टम फॉर मोबाइल कम्युनिकेशंस एसोसिएशन (GSMA) के बोर्ड सदस्यों से बातचीत की। GSMA मोबाइल ऑपरेटरों और मोबाइल इकोसिस्टम से जुड़ी संस्थाओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाला वैश्विक संगठन है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि तकनीक को समावेशी और सतत विकास का साधन बनना चाहिए, और डिजिटल सेवाओं को विशेषकर ग्लोबल साउथ के लिए किफायती और सुलभ बनाने पर ज़ोर दिया। उन्होंने डिजिटल पब्लिक इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर (DPI) को विकासशील देशों के लिए आधार बताया, साइबर धोखाधड़ी से निपटने के लिए तकनीक-आधारित समाधान और लगातार जागरूकता की बात कही, और डीपफेक व AI से बनी सामग्री के स्रोत की तुरंत पहचान के तंत्र का सुझाव दिया। GSMA बोर्ड सदस्यों ने 5G, 6G, AI, साइबर सुरक्षा और सैटेलाइट कनेक्टिविटी में भारत के साथ सहयोग के अवसरों पर ज़ोर दिया। बैठक में संचार मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया भी मौजूद रहे। परीक्षा के लिए: GSMA का पूरा नाम ग्लोबल सिस्टम फॉर मोबाइल कम्युनिकेशंस एसोसिएशन है।
