PM Modi Inaugurates 10th India Mobile Congress; 5G Now in Every District

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, held this year with the theme 'Scale Without Boundaries'. He recalled launching 5G from the same stage in 2022 and said 5G networks, now running on more than 5.5 lakh base stations, have reached every district of the country and increased internet speeds about tenfold. He noted that the 2024 edition hosted the International Telecommunication Union to discuss global standards, and welcomed the GSMA Board, which is meeting in India alongside IMC. He also greeted the nation on Air Force Day and paid tribute to actor Nana Patekar. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नई दिल्ली के यशोभूमि में इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस (IMC) के 10वें संस्करण का उद्घाटन किया, जिसकी इस वर्ष की थीम 'स्केल विदाउट बाउंड्रीज़' है। उन्होंने याद किया कि 2022 में इसी मंच से 5G की शुरुआत की गई थी, और बताया कि 5.5 लाख से अधिक बेस स्टेशनों पर चल रहे 5G नेटवर्क अब देश के हर ज़िले तक पहुंच गए हैं और इंटरनेट की गति लगभग दस गुना बढ़ी है। उन्होंने कहा कि 2024 के संस्करण में वैश्विक मानकों पर चर्चा के लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय दूरसंचार संघ (ITU) की मेज़बानी की गई थी, और IMC के साथ भारत में हो रही GSMA बोर्ड बैठक का स्वागत किया। उन्होंने वायु सेना दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दीं और अभिनेता नाना पाटेकर को श्रद्धांजलि दी। परीक्षा के लिए: IMC 2026 इसका 10वां संस्करण है, जो यशोभूमि, नई दिल्ली में हो रहा है; भारत ने 2022 में IMC में 5G सेवाएं शुरू की थीं।
