INS Trishul Takes Part in 24th India–France Naval Exercise Varuna

Indian Naval Ship Trishul arrived at Toulon, France, on 22 September 2026 to take part in the 24th edition of Exercise Varuna, the annual bilateral maritime exercise between the Indian Navy and the French Navy. The harbour phase included professional, sporting and cultural engagements, and the crew visited French Navy ships including the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. The ship's company laid a wreath at the Mazargues War Memorial in Marseille, honouring 205 Indian soldiers who died in the World Wars. For exams: Varuna is the India–France naval exercise, and 2026 is its 24th edition.
