PM Attends UPSC Centenary Celebrations at Bharat Mandapam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the centenary celebrations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on 1 October 2026. He called the centenary a festival of the aspirations of millions of young people and of the trust Indians place in the institution, and praised its credibility across generations, governments and syllabi. A commemorative postage stamp, a special coin and a compilation of 100 significant case laws were released. The PM paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for building the 'steel frame' of the civil services. For exams: UPSC traces its origin to the Public Service Commission set up on 1 October 1926.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 1 अक्टूबर 2026 को नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC) के शताब्दी समारोह में शामिल हुए। उन्होंने इस शताब्दी को लाखों युवाओं की आकांक्षाओं और संस्था पर देशवासियों के भरोसे का उत्सव बताया और पीढ़ियों, सरकारों और पाठ्यक्रमों के बदलने के बावजूद इसकी विश्वसनीयता की सराहना की। इस अवसर पर एक स्मारक डाक टिकट, एक विशेष सिक्का और 100 महत्वपूर्ण केस लॉ का संकलन जारी किया गया। प्रधानमंत्री ने सिविल सेवाओं का 'स्टील फ्रेम' बनाने के लिए सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल को श्रद्धांजलि दी। परीक्षा के लिए: UPSC की शुरुआत 1 अक्टूबर 1926 को स्थापित लोक सेवा आयोग से मानी जाती है।
