NHRC to Celebrate 33rd Foundation Day on 12 October; CJI Surya Kant to Be Chief Guest

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India will celebrate its 33rd Foundation Day at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on 12 October 2026, with Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant as the chief guest, in the presence of NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian. The function will be followed by a national conference on 'Water as the Elixir of Life: Advancing Human Dignity through the Right to Water'. Since it was set up on 12 October 1993, the NHRC has registered more than 24 lakh cases, including about 3,100 suo motu cases, recommended Rs. 274 crore as relief to victims of human rights violations, and issued 35 advisories. For exams: the NHRC was established on 12 October 1993; its Chairperson is Justice V. Ramasubramanian.

राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार आयोग (NHRC), भारत 12 अक्टूबर 2026 को नई दिल्ली के विज्ञान भवन में अपना 33वां स्थापना दिवस मनाएगा, जिसमें भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति सूर्यकांत मुख्य अतिथि होंगे और NHRC के अध्यक्ष न्यायमूर्ति वी. रामासुब्रमण्यन उपस्थित रहेंगे। समारोह के बाद 'जल जीवन का अमृत: जल के अधिकार के माध्यम से मानव गरिमा को आगे बढ़ाना' विषय पर राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन होगा। 12 अक्टूबर 1993 को स्थापना के बाद से NHRC ने 24 लाख से अधिक मामले दर्ज किए हैं, जिनमें लगभग 3,100 स्वतः संज्ञान मामले हैं, मानवाधिकार उल्लंघन के पीड़ितों को 274 करोड़ रुपये की राहत की सिफारिश की है और 35 परामर्श जारी किए हैं। परीक्षा के लिए: NHRC की स्थापना 12 अक्टूबर 1993 को हुई; इसके अध्यक्ष न्यायमूर्ति वी. रामासुब्रमण्यन हैं।
