Cabinet Approves Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA)

The Union Cabinet approved the setting up of the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA), a Special Purpose Vehicle to strengthen research, planning, appraisal, monitoring and impact assessment in transport and logistics. ITLA will be the apex body for integrated transport planning and will prepare a National Transport Master Plan with a horizon of ten years or more, covering roads, railways, ports and shipping, civil aviation, inland waterways, coastal shipping, urban mobility and logistics. It will carry out technical appraisal of Government of India infrastructure projects costing Rs. 500 crore or more, monitor such projects and assess their impact after completion. It will also build a National Transport Data Repository using data from sources like GSTN e-way bills, FASTag and Vahan. For exams: ITLA appraises central transport projects of Rs. 500 crore and above and prepares the National Transport Master Plan.

केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने परिवहन और लॉजिस्टिक्स क्षेत्र में अनुसंधान, योजना, मूल्यांकन, निगरानी और प्रभाव आकलन को मज़बूत करने के लिए एक विशेष प्रयोजन वाहन (SPV), एकीकृत परिवहन और लॉजिस्टिक्स प्राधिकरण (ITLA) की स्थापना को मंजूरी दी। ITLA एकीकृत परिवहन योजना की शीर्ष संस्था होगी और दस वर्ष या उससे अधिक अवधि की राष्ट्रीय परिवहन मास्टर प्लान तैयार करेगी, जिसमें सड़क, रेल, बंदरगाह और शिपिंग, नागरिक उड्डयन, अंतर्देशीय जलमार्ग, तटीय शिपिंग, शहरी परिवहन और लॉजिस्टिक्स शामिल होंगे। यह 500 करोड़ रुपये या उससे अधिक लागत वाली भारत सरकार की अवसंरचना परियोजनाओं का तकनीकी मूल्यांकन, निगरानी और पूर्ण होने के बाद प्रभाव आकलन करेगी। यह GSTN ई-वे बिल, FASTag और वाहन जैसे स्रोतों के डेटा से राष्ट्रीय परिवहन डेटा भंडार भी बनाएगी। परीक्षा के लिए: ITLA 500 करोड़ रुपये और उससे अधिक की केंद्रीय परिवहन परियोजनाओं का मूल्यांकन करेगी और राष्ट्रीय परिवहन मास्टर प्लान बनाएगी।
