Health Ministry to Launch JOSH Teams for TB Mukt Bharat in 55 Districts

The Union Health Ministry, with the Ministries of Youth Affairs & Sports and Defence, will launch JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) Teams on 8 October 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda will lead the launch along with Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, MoS Defence Sanjay Seth and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. In the first phase, JOSH Teams will be rolled out in 55 districts across 11 States to strengthen youth-led community mobilisation for TB elimination. Each team brings together Class-I Officers, MY Bharat Volunteers and NCC Cadets to spread messages on TB symptoms, prevention, timely diagnosis and treatment completion at the Block/Ward level. The event will also launch 'Khushi Avatar', an AI-powered chatbot for TB awareness, and new IEC material. The initiative builds on 67,933 Panchayats across 697 districts recognised as TB Mukt in 2025. For exams: JOSH stands for Joint Squad for Health; phase one covers 55 districts in 11 States.

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय, युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय और रक्षा मंत्रालय के साथ मिलकर 8 अक्टूबर 2026 को नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में JOSH (जॉइंट स्क्वाड फॉर हेल्थ) टीमें लॉन्च करेगा। केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जे.पी. नड्डा, डॉ. मनसुख मांडविया, रक्षा राज्य मंत्री संजय सेठ और दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता के साथ इसका शुभारंभ करेंगे। पहले चरण में JOSH टीमें 11 राज्यों के 55 ज़िलों में शुरू होंगी, ताकि टीबी उन्मूलन के लिए युवाओं के नेतृत्व में सामुदायिक भागीदारी बढ़े। हर टीम में क्लास-I अधिकारी, MY भारत स्वयंसेवक और NCC कैडेट होंगे, जो ब्लॉक/वार्ड स्तर पर टीबी के लक्षण, बचाव, समय पर जांच और पूरा इलाज कराने का संदेश पहुंचाएंगे। कार्यक्रम में टीबी जागरूकता के लिए AI आधारित चैटबॉट 'खुशी अवतार' और नई IEC सामग्री भी लॉन्च होगी। यह पहल 2025 में 697 ज़िलों की 67,933 पंचायतों को टीबी मुक्त घोषित किए जाने पर आधारित है। परीक्षा के लिए: JOSH का पूरा नाम जॉइंट स्क्वाड फॉर हेल्थ है; पहला चरण 11 राज्यों के 55 ज़िलों में है।
