Lok Sabha Speaker Addresses Silver Jubilee of Goa Legislative Assembly Building

The Silver Jubilee celebrations marking 25 years of the Goa Legislative Assembly Building were inaugurated on 6 October 2026 by Goa Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju. Addressing the ceremony, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said strong democracies are built on dialogue, diverse views and meaningful public participation, and that technology and youth participation can give a new dimension to democracy. He called for healthy competition among State Legislatures in adopting innovations, said Goa has balanced economic development with the preservation of its heritage and environment, and urged the Goa Assembly to prepare a 25-year roadmap with greater participation of youth, women and citizens. गोवा विधानसभा भवन के 25 वर्ष पूरे होने पर रजत जयंती समारोह का उद्घाटन 6 अक्टूबर 2026 को गोवा के राज्यपाल पुसापति अशोक गजपति राजू ने किया। समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला ने कहा कि मज़बूत लोकतंत्र संवाद, विविध विचारों और सार्थक जनभागीदारी से बनते हैं, और तकनीक तथा युवाओं की भागीदारी लोकतंत्र को नया आयाम दे सकती है। उन्होंने राज्य विधानमंडलों के बीच नवाचार अपनाने में स्वस्थ प्रतिस्पर्धा का आह्वान किया, कहा कि गोवा ने आर्थिक विकास और अपनी विरासत व पर्यावरण के संरक्षण में संतुलन बनाया है, और गोवा विधानसभा से युवाओं, महिलाओं और नागरिकों की अधिक भागीदारी के साथ 25 वर्ष का रोडमैप बनाने का आग्रह किया। परीक्षा के लिए: गोवा विधानसभा भवन ने 2026 में 25 वर्ष पूरे किए; पुसापति अशोक गजपति राजू गोवा के राज्यपाल हैं।
