Rajnath Singh Approves Revised SOP for Industry Use of MoD Proof and Firing Ranges

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved a revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the use of Ministry of Defence proof ranges, field firing ranges and test facilities by the Indian defence industry. Proof and testing charges have been waived for iDEX, TDF, Make and other developmental projects of the MoD. A three-day slot each quarter is reserved at proof ranges for government-sponsored developmental projects and projects taken up by industry on its own initiative. The SOP lists ranges and labs available with DRDO, quality assurance agencies and the three Services, and replaces the arbitration clause with a simpler conciliation clause to speed up resolution of issues. For exams: iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) and TDF (Technology Development Fund) are MoD schemes to promote indigenous defence innovation.

रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने भारतीय रक्षा उद्योग द्वारा रक्षा मंत्रालय की प्रूफ रेंज, फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज और परीक्षण सुविधाओं के उपयोग के लिए संशोधित मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया (SOP) को मंज़ूरी दी। iDEX, TDF, मेक और रक्षा मंत्रालय की अन्य विकास परियोजनाओं के लिए प्रूफ और परीक्षण शुल्क माफ कर दिया गया है। सरकार-प्रायोजित विकास परियोजनाओं और उद्योग की अपनी पहल पर चल रही परियोजनाओं के लिए प्रूफ रेंज में हर तिमाही तीन दिन का स्लॉट आरक्षित है। SOP में DRDO, गुणवत्ता आश्वासन एजेंसियों और तीनों सेनाओं की उपलब्ध रेंज और प्रयोगशालाओं की सूची है, और मध्यस्थता (आर्बिट्रेशन) प्रावधान की जगह सरल सुलह (कंसिलिएशन) प्रावधान रखा गया है। परीक्षा के लिए: iDEX (इनोवेशन्स फॉर डिफेंस एक्सीलेंस) और TDF (टेक्नोलॉजी डेवलपमेंट फंड) स्वदेशी रक्षा नवाचार के लिए रक्षा मंत्रालय की योजनाएं हैं।
