Education Ministry Screens Inclusive Education Module Nationwide through PRASHAST

The Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, organised a nationwide screening of a 30-minute Sensitization and Orientation Module on Inclusive Education for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) through the PRASHAST portal. The module, available in 12 Indian languages, is meant for heads of schools, teachers, special educators and non-teaching staff such as drivers, clerks and wardens, promoting a whole-school approach to inclusion. More than 60,000 schools took part, and over 72 lakh teachers have been sensitised through the module over the past three months. PRASHAST is a school-based digital tool that helps teachers screen children for probable disabilities covered under the RPwD Act, 2016, with special educators validating cases and arranging referrals. शिक्षा मंत्रालय के स्कूल शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग ने PRASHAST पोर्टल के माध्यम से विशेष आवश्यकता वाले बच्चों (CwSN) के लिए समावेशी शिक्षा पर 30 मिनट के संवेदीकरण और अभिविन्यास मॉड्यूल की देशव्यापी स्क्रीनिंग आयोजित की। 12 भारतीय भाषाओं में उपलब्ध यह मॉड्यूल स्कूल प्रमुखों, शिक्षकों, विशेष शिक्षकों और ड्राइवर, क्लर्क व वार्डन जैसे गैर-शिक्षण कर्मचारियों के लिए है, और पूरे स्कूल की समावेशी सोच को बढ़ावा देता है। 60,000 से अधिक स्कूलों ने इसमें भाग लिया, और पिछले तीन महीनों में 72 लाख से अधिक शिक्षकों को इस मॉड्यूल से संवेदनशील बनाया जा चुका है। PRASHAST एक स्कूल-आधारित डिजिटल टूल है, जिससे शिक्षक RPwD अधिनियम, 2016 में शामिल संभावित दिव्यांगताओं के लिए बच्चों की स्क्रीनिंग करते हैं, और विशेष शिक्षक मामलों की पुष्टि कर रेफ़रल की व्यवस्था करते हैं। परीक्षा के लिए: PRASHAST स्कूलों के लिए शिक्षा मंत्रालय का दिव्यांगता स्क्रीनिंग टूल है, जो NEP 2020 और RPwD अधिनियम, 2016 के अनुरूप है।
